Admin extensions and remodel
At Hastings Girls’ High School, the administration upgrade project required careful planning to deliver meaningful improvements within tight timeframes and budget constraints. Originally part of a wider programme of works, the project was reprioritised to focus on the administration and AV upgrades, with construction staged around the school calendar.
BSM Group Architects led the design and delivery process, fast-tracking documentation and working closely with the school and contractor to align scope with budget. Through value engineering and a collaborative approach, cost savings were achieved without compromising design quality. The school’s decision to vacate the administration area allowed construction to proceed efficiently, reducing staging complexity and programme duration.
The completed administration building has become a central hub for the school, providing a clear identity and welcoming entry. Its distinctive architectural elements have since influenced subsequent developments across the campus, reinforcing a consistent and recognisable character.
