Retail Fitout
At Boardertown Queenstown, the project centred on creating a retail environment that reflects skate and snow culture while providing an engaging space for customers to gather and interact. Located within the Five Mile complex, the store was designed as both a retail destination and a social hub.
BSM Group Architects worked closely with the client and specialist skate bowl designer to integrate a full-scale skate bowl within the store. The layout maintains clear sightlines and flexible open areas, allowing the space to support retail, events, and active use. Dual entrances were used to improve flow and maximise customer access.
A restrained material palette of plywood, timber, and polished concrete creates a durable and authentic interior, allowing merchandise and activity to define the space. The completed store offers a distinctive retail experience that reflects the culture and energy of the brand.
