At Woolworths Takapuna, formerly Countdown Takapuna, the focus was on renewing a major retail destination while keeping the store fully operational. The project involved an extensive refurbishment, including exterior rebranding, new service areas, updated layouts, a pharmacy, mezzanine access, and upgraded staff facilities.
BSM Group Architects acted as lead consultant from developed design through to contract administration and project completion. The existing structure and back-of-house operations were retained, while a new interior was delivered to meet current retail standards.
Careful coordination across the consultant team and close management of tight timeframes allowed the supermarket to continue serving the community throughout construction, giving this well-known store a renewed future in Takapuna.
