In the leafy suburb of Mt Albert, this residential extension reworks a traditional weatherboard home to support modern family life. Designed for a growing household, the project adds a new master suite, an additional bedroom, and a bathroom, while maintaining a clear connection to the original dwelling.
An enclosed outdoor area provides a safe and flexible space for children and pets, extending daily living beyond the interior. Materials including Abodo Vulcan in Teak and Metalcraft Kahu in Grey Friars create a warm, contemporary finish, complemented by a custom screen that follows the roofline and offers privacy. The project was constructed by Kris McKay.
